Delete your FutureMinds account

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest route, and it happens immediately.

1. Open FutureMinds and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Parent area.
3. Answer the short question that confirms a grown-up is present.
4. Choose Delete account and confirm.

You may be asked for your password again. That is our sign-in provider requiring a recent login before it will delete an account, and it is there to protect you if a device is left unlocked.

Ask us instead

If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would simply rather we did it, email us from the address on the account:

We will confirm the request, delete the account, and write back to say it is done — normally within 7 days, and always within 30 days. We ask you to write from the account’s own email address because that is the only way we can tell it is really you. We will never ask for your password.

What gets deleted

All of it, permanently:

• Your sign-in — the email address and password themselves.
• Your parent profile — your name, your email, your settings, and your subscription status.
• Every child profile on the account, and for each child: their name, age, chosen color, XP, level, streak, badges, and the list of levels they have finished.
• Everything recorded beneath each child — their per-level progress and scores, their day-by-day usage record, their Daily Challenge history, and the record of which questions they have been shown and how each one went.

Deleting the account deletes every child on it. There is no way to remove the account while keeping one child’s progress.

What is kept, and why

One thing, and we would rather say so plainly than leave it out.

Anonymous error reports. When something in the app goes wrong it sends a short technical report so we can fix it. A report carries the kind of error, where in the app it happened, the app version and the platform — and no account identifier, no email address, and no child’s name or id. File paths and email addresses are stripped out before it is sent. Because nothing in a report is tied to your account, there is no way for us to find yours in order to delete it, and no way for anyone to trace one back to you.

What was never collected in the first place

• Voice recordings. One level asks a child to record their own voice. That audio never leaves the device, and the app deletes it from the device as soon as the level is over.
• Dates of birth. Signing up asks for a birth year, once, to check that a grown-up is creating the account. It is used at that moment and discarded — it is never stored.
• Advertising and tracking data. The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
